Part of the Humber LEP network:
The Prince’s Trust supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.
Many of the young people we help are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.
Our programmes give young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives.
We help young people:
> develop skills, prepare for work and improve their confidence through a structured 12-week personal development course, individually tailored personal development programmes and short engagement programmes
> improve motivation and attendance at school through our network of xl clubs
> work out whether self-employment is right for them by helping them to test their ideas, write plans and start their own businesses or achieve other goals in education, training, volunteering or work
> overcome barriers and get their lives working with cash awards of between £50 and £500, and mentor support for those leaving care or prison
> develop personal and social skills through residential schemes, group activities and tailored one-to-one support

You might not know what to do with your idea yet, or where to start, but that’s where we come in. In partnership with Innovate UK, the UK government’s innovation support organisation, we want to inspire and support more young adults between 18-30 in turning their ideas, whether big or small, into a reality.
We know this might sound daunting, but through our Enterprise Online programme we have all the tools, access to mentors and even funding that can help you find the business potential in your idea. You’ll also have the opportunity to access content on innovation, developed by Innovate UK, and find out more about how you could take part in Innovate UK’s Young Innovators’ programme.
Your idea might not only solve a problem that you face and allow you to be your own boss, but also make the community and the world around you a better place.
So, don’t let that idea go! #IdeasMeanBusiness
